Constitution and By-Laws

The committee shall review the constitution and by-Laws and draft ammendments to the constitution and/or by-laws when requested or the need arises. The committee shall also be responsible for drafting a new Constiitution and by-laws when deemed necessary.

Other responsibiities associated with this committee include making current copies of the constitution and by-laws available and ensuring that the procedure of election of officers is carried out in a legal and orderly fashion as per the by-laws.

Each spring, the Graduate and Professional Student Government Association selects an outstanding master’s student, doctoral student, and faculty member to present with its highest honor: the Phoenix Award. The Phoenix Award recognizes exemplary achievement in leadership, scholarship, professional involvement and university and community service; especially relating involvement with graduate students.

Policies and Procedures Committee

The Committee shall be composed of not less than four members and the GPSGA Vice-President shall serve as chair of the Committee.
This committee investigates, formulates, and recommends policies pertaining to graduate education and graduate student benefits.
